Alla, is a great friend and mentor to me, who I met when I joined the Future Female Entrepreneur initiative in my first year of University and have worked with Two Chicks and FFE since. In our conversation, Alla shares insights into her entry into the food industry, joined by Two Chicks co-founder Anna Richey, the challenges she faces as a female entrepreneur, and the empowering role of fashion in her entrepreneurial journey.
I am Alla Ouvarova and I am the co-founder and CEO of Two Chicks, and the Future Female Entrepreneur initiative.
That was totally unplanned! My friend who was to become my business partner spotted a gap in the market for liquid egg white and we set up a business together to close that gap, introducing Two Chicks liquid egg white into the retail market in the UK and further afield.
There have been several along the journey, and as an entrepreneur, you’re always looking at the next challenge!
Plenty of those too, the main one being access to capital in the very beginning.
Hhhmmm depends on the day… I like beautiful and cool pieces, a bit funky, but still glam!
The right outfit can certainly make you feel amazing and therefore powerful.
Women must not be afraid to push themselves and their boundaries, and men must allow and support them.
It wasn’t exactly advice, more of an observation, and it was that my slightly crazy traits are the ones that will enable me to be successful!
