Introducing NOWLAN: Empowering women through redefining British heritage luxury fashion.

London, UK – June 20th, 2024 – Designer, Niamh Nowlan is to debut NOWLAN, heralding a new era of female empowerment in luxury market; creating a modern British heritage in the fashion industry. Presented during the inaugural JCA Undergraduate show at the Jimmy Choo Academy, Mayfair. NOWLAN will showcase the first six looks of the brand as a cohesive collection.

NOWLAN’s mission: to empower women through clothing to create a community of strong, confident, and powerful individuals.

Inspiration sparks from designer Niamh Nowlan’s upbringing between the Cotswolds countryside and city life. NOWLAN links the journey of a woman who moves between the countryside and the city.

NOWLAN also channels Niamh's passion for the rebellious 70s rock and roll, punk youth music scene. This love stems from her dad living his young adulthood through this time, often playing this music genre around Niamh’s childhood home.

ABOUT HARRIS TWEED HEBRIDES

Harris Tweed® is a timeless emblem of Scottish heritage and craftsmanship, the only fabric in the world governed by an Act of Parliament. Woven from pure virgin wool, it bears the hallmark of the Outer Hebrides islands, where it has been meticulously crafted for centuries. Harris Tweed Hebrides must fibre dye and blend wool shades, before carding and spinning to create yarn which is handwoven in the home of the weaver before being returned to the mill in Shawbost for finishing.
